On December 4, the Vietnam – Australia Business Exchange 2025 was successfully held, bringing together a delegation from UQ Ventures of The University of Queensland, faculty members of the i-Hons program, and students from Cohorts K63 and K64. The event marked an important milestone in strengthening academic cooperation and fostering connections within the innovation and startup ecosystems of both countries.
The program welcomed distinguished speakers, including representatives from Vietnam’s National Innovation Center, The University of Queensland, Foreign Trade University’s Innovation and Incubation Space, and ThinkZone Ventures. The opening ceremony featured remarks by Ms. Dao Thi Thu Ha, Vice Head of the FTU International Office, who emphasized the strategic importance of international collaboration in higher education and entrepreneurship.
Key presentations provided participants with insights into national and university-level innovation ecosystems, entrepreneurship education, incubation processes, and venture capital investment approaches. Speakers highlighted policy support for innovation in Vietnam, UQ’s entrepreneurship programs and facilities, FTU’s innovation support initiatives, and practical pathways for students to engage with venture capital and startup development.
The event concluded with interactive discussions and team-building activities, creating opportunities for students from both universities to connect, collaborate, and exchange ideas. The Vietnam – Australia Business Exchange 2025 reaffirmed the shared commitment of both institutions to nurturing globally minded, innovation-driven students and advancing long-term international partnerships.
